The Dodge Durango Outperforms the Competition

In a Dodge Durango, you'll feel like you can go just about anywhere, at anytime. That's because this SUV is powered by a strong and reliable engine. In fact, there are actually several choices of powertrains for our customers at FX Caprara Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram to choose from.

The basic option is quite capable. It's a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 that has been paired with an eight-speed automatic transmission. It can make up to 295 horsepower and 260 pound-feet of torque, and it can either be matched with rear-wheel or all-wheel drive.

All of the other engines are HEMI V8s. There's a 5.7-liter version that can churn out up to 360 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque, and there's a larger 6.4-liter model that increases horsepower and torque to 475 and 470 pound-feet, respectively. Then, there's a supercharged 6.2-liter V8 that far surpasses all the rest. It has 710 horsepower and 645 pound-feet of torque.
